Meet Our Team

The Bergen County CHADD advisory board is made up of parents, adults, and professional advisors interested in ADHD.

  • Ellen has been the coordinator of Bergen County CHADD since 2017 and has been an active member of CHADD for many years. In the past, Ellen presented to CHADD members, and to mental health professionals on a variety of topics, later running a monthly support group.

    She wears several hats including coordinator, treasurer, and secretary. Ellen feels grateful to lead a team of devoted and amazing volunteer board members who are essential to making continued growth possible. As coordinator, her goal is to offer support and education to adults, parents, teachers, schools, and therapists throughout the county and beyond.

    Ellen’s interest in ADHD began early in her career as a psychologist working with children, many of whom had ADHD and/or learning issues. Having a daughter with ADHD brought the experience home, enabling her to put her learning into practice.

    Ellen is a licensed psychologist and ADHD-certified Provider, working in private practice. She specializes in ADHD, mindfulness, stress, and anxiety with teens through adults. It is her passion to continue learning, sharing, and supporting others.

  • Andrea is an active participant in Bergen County CHADD where she wears many hats and acts as a right hand to Ellen Schwartz, the chapter coordinator. Andrea can be seen networking and outreaching within the ADHD communities, making connections, and providing us all with the latest resources. She has been a member of CHADD since 2014 and has presented at the International CHADD Conference and can be heard sharing her own journey with ADHD on the ADDA TADD Talks.

    Andrea is an ADHD and executive function coach with more than 19 years of experience working with adults, high school/college students along with parents of ADDers. In her New York City and New Jersey-based practice, she emphasizes the use of empathy and understanding to help parents develop effective strategies for addressing their children's challenging behaviors. She also works with independent schools, using a strengths-based approach.

    Andrea Elrom earned her Master's degree from New York University in Elementary Education and received her ADHD/Life Coach training through ADD Coach Academy ( 2011).

  • Joni Corn began volunteering for Bergen County CHADD in 2020. As an Executive Committee member, she helps publicize Bergen County CHADD, secure speakers, create programming, and facilitate parent support groups. She has been a speaker for local CHADD chapters and the Learning Disabilities Association of NJ.

    Joni is passionate about ADHD education and supporting CHADD families with information and resources to create harmony in the home and success for children, teens, and young adults.

    Professionally, Joni is an ADHD Parent Coach, Executive Function Coach, and Positive Psychology Practitioner.  After 20 years of homeschooling her two sons, one with ADHD, and exploring her own ADHD, Joni trained at the ADHD Parent Coach Academy and the Wholebeing Institute for Positive Psychology. Her coaching focuses on the intersection of ADHD, parenting, and positive psychology, a strength-based approach to empower, calm, and connect parent and child. 

    Joni has also studied Attachment Parenting, Non-Violent Communication, and Collaborative and Proactive Solutions with Ross Greene, which she brings to the conversation as well.

  • Deborah (Devora Malka) is an ADHD Coach and Teacher. She got involved with CHADD to support parents and children with ADHD.

    Deborah grew up with family members with ADHD and has multiple children with an ADHD diagnosis. As an elementary school teacher, she was known for successfully supporting all of the various learners in her classroom. She was especially praised for her support and empowerment of her students with ADHD. Today, Deborah works with parents and students as an ADHD Coach, helping them realize their potential.

    Deborah posts content for the Bergen County CHADD Facebook page on a regular basis.

    Deborah has a Masters of Education and Special Education from Touro University. She has a certification in ADHD Student Coaching from JST Coaching and Training, and she has continued her coach training through ADDCA with Fundamentals of ADHD Coaching for Families. Deborah lives in South Bend, IN with her husband and houseful of kids.

  • Rachel is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and parents of children with ADHD. Rachel became involved in the Bergen County chapter of CHADD in 2020 and comes from a family that is deeply involved in CHADD, including her mother-- Ellen Schwartz!

    Rachel is a Certified ADHD Professional (ADHD-CCSP), holds an Advanced Certificate in Applied Behavioral Analysis, and has completed training in Dialectic Behavior Therapy.

    Rachel was diagnosed with ADHD as a child and experienced firsthand the level of support and accommodations she currently strives to provide for her clients.

    Rachel acts as the website manager for Bergen County CHADD and enjoyed making this website.

  • Since joining the Bergen County CHADD team in 2021 during the pandemic, Bella’s role has evolved. She began helping the team with school outreach. Her involvement has grown exponentially so that she is now the media coordinator. She manages the website experience, content updates, weekly outreach, Zoom meetings, and helps to stay on top of things.

    Bella is a mother of two daughters, one of whom was diagnosed with ADHD and SPD in 2016. She initially worked as a trained Montessori teacher which helped her to become a better parent, to understand her daughter, and those with ADHD. For parenting support, she worked with ADHD coach Andrea Elrom and has taken several of Cindy Goldrich’s courses. She’s a member of PTA, SEPAG, and is always a class mom.

    Recently, Bella sought a formal diagnosis for herself. This has increased her passion to help others and bring awareness to families by helping them access needed resources. Bella continues learning through CHADD and is planning to do formal coach training going forward.

  • Isabel Ebrahimi is passionate in her commitment to helping support parents, children, and adults struggling with ADD/ADHD in their lives. She has been volunteering with Bergen County CHADD since 2016, facilitating support groups and presenting to parents. Upon the start of the pandemic, Isabel responded by offering the support group virtually.

    She is a multi-lingual, multi-ethnic woman who knows about the challenges of ADHD from parenting her now adult ADHD sons. Her experience advocating for her boys helped them to receive the support they needed to succeed in school and informs her work with her coaching clients.

    Isabel Ebrahimi Is a compassionate, sensitive, and seasoned coach who understands the complexities of ADHD and has seen its impact on her clients ranging from children to the elderly.

    After receiving her coach training and certification from Mentor Coach LLC. with a focus on Positive Psychology in 2017, Isabel founded her coaching practice; Help is Here Coaching, LLC. Isabel's graduate work was in counseling psychology at Columbia University.

  • Yeara Rosenthal is a certified ADHD Life Coach and founder of Coaching with Yeara LLC. In 2022, she launched her podcast "About ADHD and Other Things," where she talks about coaching, ADHD, and all things under the sun. As a member of the Bergen County CHADD Advisory Board, Yeara engages in ADHD awareness campaigns in and around her community. She was drawn to coaching after attending a few of Bergen County CHADD's Parent Support Group meetings. She soon enrolled in the ADHD Coaching Academy, where she earned her AACC in fall 2023. Most recently, she completed the Mindfulness-Based Strengths Practice (MBSP) course, led by Dr. Ryan Niemiec, co-founder of the VIA Institute.

    As a coach, Yeara uses a strength and mindfulness-based approach to help rindividuals identify and move past obstacles in the way of their growth. She weaves elements of Somatic Therapy techniques in her coaching as a way to guide clients in establishing their own grounding rituals.

    Yeara balances her personal life—running a business and home, while mindfully raising two neurospicy children of her own—with long walks in nature, a daily meditation practice and journaling. Blessed with a love of learning, she enjoys exploring topics of health, spirituality and faith. When she is not busy doing all the things related to running a home and parenting, Yeara is an active member of the Chiku Awali African Dance, Arts, and Culture organization, based in Spring Valley, NY. Throughout the year, she can be seen performing alongside her daughter with the Chiku Awali dancers throughout Rockland and Westchester Counties.
